She is currently powering up a movement for a do-it-yourself economy across small town America in partnership with the BLK SHP.
As a steward of Wisdom Hackers, Alexa has built a global community delving into life's burning questions. She is Co-Founder and Director of The Human Agency, a collective working to incubate breakthrough ideas for humanity. Previously, Alexa pioneered work at Ashoka focusing on new economy, job creation, and scaling social innovation. She has also led research and analysis on social innovation models in the health, energy, and finance sectors and worked with leading Fortune 500 companies on sustainability and innovation strategy.
A prominent international speaker and writer, Alexa has been a featured speaker at SXSW, Tech Open Air Berlin, WFMU, Columbia University, Power to the Pixel, Google, Harvard Business School, HEC-Paris, and re:publica. Alexa received her BA from Brown University and a MSc. from Oxford University. When not operating in the world as Alexa, you can find her channeling the Amish Futurist, an alter ego bringing Socratic inquiry to the tech scene. She grew up in Cambridge, Massachusetts and Arlington, Virginia and now lives between Berlin and New York.
