Brad Baer is Director of Strategy at Bluecadet - an Emmy-winning digital agency that creates world-class websites, applications, interactives, and immersive environments for cultural and higher-ed clients such as the Gates Foundation, The Art Institute of Chicago, Harvard, and the Baseball Hall of Fame. A gifted communicator, he excels at unifying cross-disciplinary creative teams including designers, developers, curators, and marketing executives. His experience as an architect perpetually informs his perspective on user experience, fabrication and assembly, and the integration of interactives into the built environment.
He previously worked for award-winning architecture firms including KieranTimberlake,PelliClarkePelli, and HNTB Sport designing projects of every scale ranging from pre-fab housing at MoMA, sports stadiums around the United States, and skyscrapers in Asia. Brad has served as a visiting critic at Princeton, Michigan State, and Syracuse and lectures at technology and design conferences across the United States. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Temple University where he created an interdisciplinary course on design, entrepreneurship, & hacker culture.
Brad received a Master of Architecture from Yale University and his Bachelor's degree with Distinction from Iowa State University. Born in a farm town in Central Illinois, Brad has since lived in Ohio, South Carolina, Iowa, Missouri, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Rome. Brad, his wife Katie, and their young son, Jack, now happily reside in Center City Philadelphia. Proud moment: Hitting a half-court shot at the Barclays Center.
